Telehealth and Influenza

A clinic in Washington state is using telehealth to help manage influenza and avoiding exposure to other patients.

Patients are greeted at the door and undergo a symptom screening and then if symptomatic are asked to remain in their car and are given an iPad for a telehealth visit.

The patient waits until the visit which is then held in the car with the care team inside.   If needed staff in PPE can come to the car to administer vaccines or do other potential examination and interaction.
